Commentary Care of Northwest Grain Growers
Wheat futures are quietly lower to start the morning. Things are as quiet as I've ever seen them right now with not much going on the export side and even less on the grower side. Russian wheat areas are still dry and temperatures this coming week will be well above normal, something to keep an eye on as that's the most important thing for wheat prices right now. Sovecon reduced their crop expectation for the first time this year but haven't seen by how much yet and the market isn't reacting at this point. There's a little bit of routine business kicking around for Japan and Korea tonight for white wheat but not enough tonnage to get anyone excited.
